K9 Nose Work® Travel Classes with Blueberry Dogs
1. I periodically send out an email when classes are available for registration. Travel classes are typically offered on Sunday mornings or Monday evenings. These emails sometimes get filtered into spam folders, so please add my email address (steph@blueberrydogs.net) to your approved list. Travel classes are for dogs who are working on all three target odors (birch, anise, and clove).
2. Register on the website for the class you would like to attend. Payment is due at the time of registration.
Refunds: Please give me as much notice as you can if you’re dropping out of a class you’ve registered for. If I can replace you with another student I will refund your payment, minus a small administrative fee. No refunds will be given within 48 hours of the class.
3. I send out a class location email to registered students a few days before the class. If you registered for a class but don't receive the email by Friday night, please message me! I definitely want everyone to know where to go. My class range covers Eldersburg, Ellicott City, Glenwood, Dayton, Clarksville, Fulton, Highland, Columbia, and North Laurel. We occasionally travel farther for special class sites, so check the registration page carefully before signing up for a class.
4. Typical travel classes run for about 60 minutes, with a little wiggle room (longer if there are a lot of dogs, shorter if there are very few dogs or if everyone is working hard and the dogs get tired.) We meet in public spaces for trial-setting practice (parks, schools, empty train stations, etc.) or private settings if we are lucky enough to gain access (a few students have shared basements and garages as working spaces; if you’d like to offer an indoor or outdoor space for class please contact me). I also occasionally offer skill-building classes in my training room in Dayton, MD. Regardless of the location, please plan to work out of your car and be prepared for the weather.
5. Group classes are $50/team. Private and semi-private lessons (which are usually scheduled before or after a regular group lesson, if time and space allow) are $250/hour, split between 1-6 teams. Payment is required in advance to reserve your space.
