K9 Nose Work® Travel Classes with Blueberry Dogs
1. I periodically send out an email listing class dates with Sign Up links. Travel classes are typically offered on Sunday mornings or Monday evenings. These emails sometimes get filtered into spam folders, so please add my email address (steph@blueberrydogs.net) to your approved list.
2. Register on the Sign Up Genius link if you'd like to join a class and pay via PayPal within 72 hours of your registration to hold the space.
Refunds: Please give me as much notice as you can if you’re dropping out of a class you’ve registered for. If I can replace you with another student I will refund your payment, minus any admin fees, but if it’s too late to get someone to fill in, you’ll still be responsible for payment. (Emergencies will be taken into consideration).
3. I send out a class location email to registered students a few days before the class (usually Thursday or Friday for a Sunday class). If you registered for a class but don't receive the email by Friday night, please message me! I definitely want everyone to know where to go. My class ranges covers Eldersburg, Ellicott City, Glenwood, Dayton, Clarksville, Fulton, Highland, Columbia, and North Laurel. We occasionally range in other directions, but typically classes are somewhere off of Routes 32, 29, and occasionally 100.
4. Typical travel classes run for about 60-90 minutes (longer if there are a lot of dogs, shorter if there are very few dogs or if everyone is working hard and the dogs get tired.) We meet in public spaces for trial-setting practice (parks, schools, empty train stations, etc.) or private settings if we are lucky enough to gain access (a few students have shared basements and garages as working spaces; if you’d like to offer an indoor or outdoor space for class please contact me). I also occasionally offer skill-building classes in my training room in Dayton, MD. Regardless of the location, please plan to work out of your car and be prepared for the weather.
5. Group classes are $45/team. Private lessons (which are scheduled before or after a regular group lesson) are $100/handler, as availability allows. Semi-private lessons are also available for folks who register in pairs and are $50/handler. Payment can be made by cash, check, or PayPal (send to steph@blueberrydogs.net and please ensure your total paid comes out to the above after fees.)
